“Call the Lord” bringt etwas von der ganzen Tiefe und Breite des schwarzen Gospel zum Ausdruck. Durch die einzelnen Songs hindurch zeigt sich, wie Menschen durch Höhen und Tiefen im Leben gehen und im “Ruf zu Gott” dessen Antwort, Hilfe, Trost, Freude und Begeisterung erleben. Der TCGC bringt diese Emotionen in ergreifenden Balladen wie “For every mountain” und “Total praise” zum Ausdruck, aber auch in heißen Rhytmen wie “Shout” und “Call the Lord”. Darüber hinaus werden auch Klassiker wie “He’s got the whole World”, “Amen” und “Joshua fit the battle of Jericho” den Gospel Liebhaber begeistern. Man spürt, dass der Chor weiß, wovon er singt.
